Check out: On the Road, Uganda

Author: Masha

Uganda is one of my favorite places in the world, I served in Uganda as a Peace Corps Volunteer and am grateful for all that I learned.

Uganda is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. An intricate mosaic of landscape, language, history, and ingenuity, Uganda replaces any preconceived notions you have with deference for its startling elegance and organized pandemonium. From the dynamic streets of Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, and Gulu, to the lush verdant hills of Lake Mburo, every inch of Uganda will surprise you. Yet, it is the realization of how much you have to learn from Ugandans that will leave the greatest lasting impression. Uganda is one of the most entrepreneurial countries in the world, and you will be hard-pressed to find someone who speaks fewer than three languages. Finally, at every turn you will be met with two of the greatest joys of travel, learning, and finding our shared humanity.
